Answer
How much does a Workflow Spec cost?
A Workflow Spec costs 15,000 dollars, fixed, paid at signing. For a site in the United States, one of us flies out and travel is normally included in the 15,000 dollar Spec price. Outside the United States, travel is billed at cost as its own line.
What the 15,000 dollars buys
The fee covers ten business days of work on the problem you have. That means observation on site or remotely on the floor, up to 12 interviews with the people in the workflow, baseline measurement from your own records, a workflow map, the business case, an adoption design, the build specification, a fixed Build proposal and an approval brief your sponsor can forward.
The price is fixed. It does not grow with the number of meetings or the length of the report. For a site in the United States, one of us flies out and travel is normally included in the 15,000 dollar Spec price. Outside the United States, travel is billed at cost as its own line.
Why the first step is paid
A free estimate is a sales pitch. It is written to win the work, not to tell you whether the work is worth doing. A paid Spec is written to be useful to you either way. It is priced to be worth its fee even when the answer is not to build, and a recommendation against building is a valid result.
The fee is not credited against a later Build. The Spec stands on its own as a deliverable you keep.
Before any of that, there is a free twenty-minute fit call. If the workflow, the sponsor and the path to access are real, the Spec is the next step. See how we work for the full ladder.
Questions people ask
When is the Spec fee paid?
At signing.
Why is the Spec paid instead of free?
Because a real specification is real work: observation, up to twelve interviews, baseline measurement and a fixed proposal. A free estimate is a sales pitch; a paid Spec is a deliverable you keep.
Is there anything free before the Spec?
Yes. The twenty-minute fit call is free. It decides whether a Spec makes sense at all.
