Answer

Do you work remotely?

Yes, where the workflow allows it. Some bridges can be specified remotely with screen shares and recorded calls, and others need someone on the floor; which one applies is decided per engagement. We serve clients across the United States.

When remote works

The Workflow Spec includes observation of the workflow, on site or remotely on the floor. Some bridges between the field, the shop and the office live mostly on screens: a job moving from one system to another, or a queue sitting in someone's inbox. Those can often be specified remotely, by watching the work over screen shares and recording calls with the people who do it.

When someone has to be there

Other workflows break in places a screen share cannot reach: in the truck, at the counter, in the shop or on a customer site. Seeing where a handoff fails sometimes means standing where it happens. The work starts on the floor, in the truck and at the office desk where the workflow breaks, not in a requirements document. When that is where the problem is, someone goes there.

How it is decided

Whether a Spec is remote, on site or a mix is decided per engagement, based on where the workflow actually breaks. If a site visit is needed, travel is billed at cost as its own line and is never folded into the Spec price.

The fit call is where that first gets discussed. See how we work for the full engagement ladder.
