Answer

How do site visits work?

When a workflow needs someone on the floor, we come to it. For a site in the United States, one of us flies out and travel is normally included in the 15,000 dollar Spec price. Any country can request a site visit. Outside the United States, travel is billed at cost as its own line.

What happens on a visit

A site visit is part of the Workflow Spec. The point is to watch the workflow where it breaks: on the floor, in the truck, at the counter or at the office desk. During the Spec we observe the work, interview up to 12 of the people in it and measure the baseline from your own records. Being there shows the parts of a handoff that nobody thinks to mention in an interview because they have stopped noticing them.

Who comes

Who comes on site is settled when the engagement is signed, based on what the work needs. The visit is scheduled around your operation rather than around ours.

How travel is handled

The Spec is 15,000 dollars, fixed. For a site in the United States, one of us flies out and travel is normally included in the 15,000 dollar Spec price. Outside the United States, travel is billed at cost as its own line.

When a visit is not needed

Some bridges can be specified remotely with screen shares and recorded calls. Others need someone on the floor. That is decided per engagement, starting at the fit call. More on the full process is on how we work.
