Custom workflow software for field operations
Custom workflow software is worth building when nothing you can buy fits how your crew actually works, and the gap is costing you every week. We build one small tool for that gap, fitted to the systems you already run, and you own it outright after payment.

The problem
Most companies already own more software than they use. The trouble is the work that falls between the systems: the exceptions, the special cases and the steps the product never planned for. Those end up in spreadsheets, whiteboards and one person's memory, and the expensive system sits half used. That is the exception swamp.
Build, buy or bridge
The Workflow Spec answers this before anything is built:
- Buy when a product fits how your people work. The Spec says so, and that can be the whole answer.
- Bridge when your systems are right but do not talk. A small tool moves the information between them, so nobody retypes it.
- Build when the work itself has no good home. We build one tool for that work and connect it to what you already run.
A Spec can end in a no. A no-go that saves you from building the wrong thing is a successful Spec.
What you get
One production tool, scoped to the problem you have and the named group of people who will use it, instrumented so you can see whether it is used, with up to two standard integrations and a handover pack your team can run from.
What you own
After payment you own the tool, your data and your production accounts, with the copyright assignment in writing. Nothing is locked to us.
Scope and price
A Workflow Spec at $15,000 fixed, then a Production Build from $60,000, fixed after the Spec. Six weeks from the access gate to release, then a 30-day live-use window, with the last 20 percent of the fee tied to the crew using it.
What we decline
Safety-critical control, and data sources that do not exist yet. We also will not quote a build before the workflow is defined. The full list is in what work do you decline.
Questions people ask
When should we build instead of buy?
When the software you can buy forces your crew to work around it, the workaround lives in spreadsheets and phone calls, and the same problem costs you every week. If an off-the-shelf product fits, the Spec says so and we recommend it.
Who owns the code?
You do. After payment you own the bespoke tool, your data and your production accounts, with the copyright assignment in writing. We keep our reusable methods, templates and general components.
Who maintains it after launch?
The Build includes 30 days of stabilization. After that you choose Embedded Adoption, a keep-the-lights-on arrangement, or a formal handover with no ongoing obligation.
